Athens-Clarke County Solid Waste Department
Employee of the Quarter Award Criterion
(January, April, July, October)

Purpose of the Award: To recognize an exemplary employee for going above and beyond their regular job responsibilities.

Eligible Employees: Any solid waste department employee
(excluding: director and administrators)

Criteria for Nominee:

• Committed to the department’s mission and values.
  
  
• Consistently demonstrates excellent job performance (punctuality, dependability, reliability, attendance, etc.).
  
  
• Is readily approachable and has positive relationships with fellow employees, customers, and others associated with the department.

Selection Process:

• Selection is made by a committee comprised of a variety of staff members including: director, collections administrator, waste reduction administrator, KACCB Executive Director, and others as needed.

Notification Process:

• Selected employee will be recognized at a staff meeting.
  
  
• A certificate, personalized clock (or comparable gift) and a $25 gift certificate to a local restaurant will be presented to the employee.
  
  
• A description of each awardee will be in the quarterly edition of One Man’s Trash newsletter (which is inserted into the Athens Banner Herald), placed on the solid waste website (www.acc-recycle.org) and offered to the monthly ACCent newsletter.
  
  
• A wall picture and frame will be displayed prominently at the entrance of the solid waste department to recognize each awardee.
